CME for physicians and Continuing Education (CE) for non-physicians consists of educational activities to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.

Performance Improvement Continuing Medical Education

The NCQA has structured this PI CME activity as a three-stage process by which physicians have the opportunity to learn about specific performance measures, assess their practice using the selected vaccination performance measures, implement interventions to improve performance for the measures over time and then reassess their practice using the same performance measures.

Timeline concurrent with CME activity release.

Total number of available credits for CME: 60.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

Practice Assessment Points

The Practice Assessment option for earning MOC points gives ABIM Board Certified physicians the opportunity to participate in activities that help improve the quality of patient care in their practice. Providers can use the vaxPACES four stage process to assess their practice using the vaccination performance measures, implement interventions and reassess their patient panel’s vaccination status.

Total number of available MOC Practice Assessment Points: 60
